Privacy Policy

Short version: we keep what's needed to sync your worlds and bill you, nothing more. No ads, no tracking, no selling data. Delete your account and it's all gone.
Who we are

What we collect, and why
- Account: your email address and a hashed password, to sign you in and email you about your account (confirmation, password reset, billing notices).
- Your worlds: the world folders you upload, every version you keep, the world names, the modpack tags you set, and the names you give your PCs. This is the service itself.
- Billing (paid plans): Stripe handles payment. We store only your Stripe customer ID and your subscription's plan, status and renewal date. We never see or store your card number.
- Technical logs: our hosting providers keep standard request logs (IP address, time, errors) for security and debugging, for a limited time.
The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Fonts are served from our own site. While you're signed in, the account page keeps your session in your browser's session storage for that tab only.
Legal basis (EU/UK)
We process account, world and billing data to provide the service you signed up for (contract), and logs to keep the service secure (legitimate interest). Billing records are kept as tax law requires (legal obligation).
Who processes it for us
- Supabase: accounts, database and API. Region: [SUPABASE REGION].
- Backblaze B2: storage of world files, in a private bucket. Region: [B2 REGION].
- Stripe: payments and invoices (paid plans only).

Some of these may process data outside your country (for example in the United States) under standard contractual safeguards. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Worlds and versions: until you delete them (Clean up / Delete in the app) or delete your account. If you stay over your storage limit after a paid plan ends, for up to 6 months after that, with email warnings first (see the Terms, section 4).
- Account: until you delete it.
- Billing records: Stripe keeps invoices as required by tax law, even after you delete your account.
Your rights
You can see your worlds and usage on the account page and download every world with the app. You can delete your account and all its data yourself from the account page: that removes your worlds, every stored file, your login, and your Stripe customer record (and cancels any subscription). For anything else (a copy of your data, corrections, questions, or a complaint), email us. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Files are stored in a private bucket and reached only through short-lived signed links issued to your signed-in account. The app stores your sign-in token encrypted with your Windows account. If we ever learn of a breach affecting your data, we'll tell you without undue delay.
Children
mcvsc isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll email you before it applies.
