One world.
Every PC.

mcvsc keeps your Minecraft world in sync between computers. Check it out, play, submit. Only the files that changed are sent, and every session is saved as a snapshot.

No installer No .NET needed Works with Prism Launcher

How it works

Like version control for your saves. One PC holds the world at a time, so two copies never drift apart.

01

Checkout checkout

Takes the lock on the world and downloads the latest version. Other PCs can't check it out until you're done.

→
02

Play

Launch Minecraft as usual and play for as long as you like. mcvsc stays out of the way.

→
03

Submit submit

After you close the game, your changes are uploaded, a snapshot is saved, and the lock is released for your next PC.

Built to protect your world

Your hundreds of hours deserve better than a USB stick.

World locking

Only one PC can hold a world at a time. No more "which copy is the real one?"

Only changes move

Files that didn't change are never re-uploaded. A quick session takes seconds to submit.

Snapshot every session

Every submit is stored as its own snapshot, so an earlier version is always kept.

Never overwrites silently

Unsubmitted local changes are kept. With --force they're moved to a dated backup folder, not deleted.

Window or command line

Double-click for a simple window with your world list, or script it from the terminal.

Any launcher

Official launcher, Prism Launcher instances (portable too), or any saves folder you choose.

Every plan gets every feature. You only pay for space.

Prices in USD. Payments are handled by Stripe; card details never touch our servers. Downgrading never deletes your worlds right away: uploads pause above your space, and you get 6 months to download them or clean up, with emails before anything is removed. Accounts from before plans keep 5 GB free.

Questions

Why does Windows warn me when I open it?

mcvsc isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen doesn't recognise it. Click More info → Run anyway. The source code is public on GitHub if you'd rather check it first.

How do I get an account?

Create one here with your email address, confirm it, then sign in from mcvsc with the same email and password.

What happens if I forget to submit?

Your world stays locked to that PC. Go back and submit when you can. If that PC is gone for good, checkout --force breaks the lock from another PC, as a last resort.

Can I run it while Minecraft is open?

No, on purpose. mcvsc refuses to sync a world the game has open, so it never copies a half-saved file.

How much space do I get?

1 GB free, then 5 GB (Starter), 25 GB (Plus) or 250 GB (Pro), shared across all your worlds and their versions. A typical survival world is a few hundred MB, and each saved version only stores what changed. Clean up in mcvsc frees old versions.

What happens if I run out of space, cancel, or a payment fails?

Nothing is deleted on the spot. New uploads pause until you clean up old versions or upgrade, and your worlds stay downloadable. After cancelling, your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for (failed payments are retried for a while first). If you're still over the free space after that, you have 6 months to download your worlds or clean up, and we email you before anything is removed.

Why isn't it all free?

Storing worlds costs real money every month. Paid plans are what keep the free plan free.

Is my data safe?

Worlds are stored in a private bucket that only signed-in mcvsc requests can reach, using short-lived links. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe. You can delete your account and every file stored for it from the account page at any time. See the privacy policy.

Mac or Linux?

Windows only for now. Other platforms are planned.

Take your world with you.
